    Briley Trigger

I have a new XLPOR 400 in 28 gauge that I am having problems switching from an O/U trigger to this one.

I see that Briley has a trigger available for $207, which is the only trigger that I can find.

Anyone have any experience with any of the Briley triggers? I have lots of experience with Briley, just not with their triggers.

Better, worse, indifferent? Lemme know please.

What problem are you having? What are you hoping to accomplish with a new trigger?

If you notice the trigger pull, you're not focused hard enough on the bird.

Considering they just came out, I doubt many people have a lot of experience with them.

and while a nice triger isn't an extreme factor for trap/skeet, wouldn't hurt. I might get one myself someday when I can afford it. I don't think it's an extremely crucial upgrade for the most part though.

I have one on my M4 and it is an outstanding trigger. Light, crisp, minimal travel, and a very solid reset without any bounce. Day and night better than the stock trigger.

Last note, Briley customer service is really great, just call them up, you won't be sorry.

          ysr --

I guess it's really about shooting my break open single barrel trap gun, then switching to the XLPOR for skeet within minutes. There is a huge difference. And I am well versed at shooting skeet, but find myself jerking the trigger enough to miss an easy low 7....concentration I got....not having a trigger that cuts loose when expected throws that concentration off.

          Rasyad --

Thank you for your valuable input. I will wait for a bit to see if there is any more input here, then perhaps make a move.

Are you sure, the triggers on those guns aren't that bad. No offense but you should be able to break a low house 7 with a 10 pound trigger.

You shouldn't be having that much trouble switching guns. If you make it up to OC you can shoot a few of mine to compare.

When I switch from my Zoli or Browning to my 870 I can feel a big difference. The 870 takes 2~3 times the pressure to fire. It can be disconcerting for the first few shots, then it seems somewhat normal. I would like a better trigger for the 870, but I don't shoot it enough to be worth the money.
If you rreally want a better trigger, give the Briley a try, everything I have ever bought from them has been high quality.

Yeah, I guess simply switching from one to the other is really the gist of the issue as it's done within minutes of each other. Maybe if I shot the skeet first, the issue wouldn't be an issue.

Not looking for a hair trigger, that ain't shotgunning I understand. Just trying to figure out how to get used to the differences.

Don't think/focus on the trigger. Think/focus on the target. I honestly couldn't tell you what my triggers feel like. I'm focused on the target.
