Here's feedback from the most recent clinic yesterday, courtesy of davesca:

"I took Don Ziegler's Skeet Clinic today, and really enjoyed it. An interesting way to teach skeet, in that he deals with a multitude of "in comers" first, from varying positions. This helps you understand and see the different leads required from the various stations around the course. He then goes over the basics of "out goers," understanding that look.

Then, going to the doubles, he has an effective way of having you shoot the first bird twice, to get you thinking "out," rather than shooting the first bird, and then moving too quickly to the short side of the field.

Don tells it like it is, but its clear what you need to do (and not do). I have shot maybe 15 rounds of skeet, but I needed this session on the basics, to have a more formal and definitive approach to the game. Now that I have the basics, I feel I can progress, with as much practice as I can get in.

Thanks Don, as I said, one of the best investments I've made in my game."

Thanks davesca for coming out, and for sharing your experience at Saturday's clinic!

The only way to know how good these clinics are is to come out and experience it for yourself - as davesca said; one of the best investments for your clay shooting skills!

With only three shooters (so far) for the April 9 SoCal Shotgun/Skeet Clinic, those signed up will have a nearly private lesson.

Don't let them have all the fun - come out and have a blast! Fewer shooters means more time shooting!

Here is some unsolicited feedback from Himalaya2001 regarding last weekend's clinic. He and his 13 year old daughter had shot a bit of trap before, but came out to learn the fundamentals of shotgunning to ensure they progress with a sound foundation.

"...thanks for signing us up with Don and Richard. My daughter and I spent the whole morning there and had such a great time."

It must have worked, because his daughter was smokin' the clays and did outstanding on doubles by the end of the clinic.

The next clinic is April 22, and there is still plenty of room!
