Browning A5 Stalker

I've been looking into a semiautomatic shotgun for use in trap and 3-gun, and one of the options I've come across is the Browning A5. The mechanism allowing shells from the magazine tube to feed directly into the chamber during a locked bolt is appealing, but is it a good shotgun overall?

I have many thousands of shells through my A5. Duck, pheasant, quail, turkey, dove hunting. I duck hunt in saltwater quite a bit. I've fallen in with my gun completely under. Ran it all day long with no issues. Cleaned when I came home. It's one of the most reliable shotguns I've seen. I can run any low base to any high base 2-3/4-3-1/2" shell. It's not picky at all.
I would have no problem buying the A5 again.

Winchester has same rebate for their SX3 which is excellent gun, almost 100% copy of Maxus which is IMO superior to A5.

I'm told the current A5 is a very different design than the classic. May be very good, but the classic wouldn't be a reference.

Yeah the old vs new does not hold any of the same design. I have the old Belgium auto 5 and like I said above have the new. The only thing they have in common is the hump back receiver.

The new A5 is an Inertia action like a Benelli as opposed to the long recoil operation of the original. They are fine quality IMO but for me are one of the harsher recoiling shotguns out there.
