I want to purchase a 686 Silver Pigeon 1 Field Model wth less than 800 rounds through it. Some folks say it is good others say it jams. Please advise.

Nailed it!
With 800 shells fired, that gun has not even been broken in yet. IF, the gun in question is having issues extracting shells or ejecting spent shells, the ejectors can easily be removed & cleaned.Comment

My SP1 failed to eject the bottom barrel from time to time. I finally removed the ejector and did some stoning to it to get it to work. It's 100% now and my favorite O/U. If it fits you and you are getting a good deal, buy it..Comment

My SP1 failed to feed once. It wasn't that I forgot to put a shell in the tube.. Definitely the guns fault.
Kidding aside.. my SP1 has been a great gun and never had a problem with it. If you arent comfortable with the auto safety feature it can be disabled (or you could go sporting) but for me disengaging the safety as part of my mount quickly became second nature."Everybody is a genius. It is a fantastic shotgun, a guy I shoot often with let me borrow his because I was looking at buying one myself. Did 1 round of trap with it and scored 23, shoots like a dream.
This reminds me I need to go get my FSC and buy this shotgun.Comment
