    Hunted With a Krieghoff Yesterday

Had a company quail hunt yesterday. Ended up being drawn to hunt the morning in a group with the guy who is essentially #1 in the company right now.

He offered to let me use an extra 20ga he'd brought so I didn't have to shoot my 12ga (870) all day. Then pulled a krieghoff outta a case and handed it to me.

Turns out it's a ~$20k shotgun!! I'd never even heard of them until yesterday morning but after seeing it and hunting with it I want one! (sadly out of reach for a little while though).

The gun was perfectly balanced and was incredible to hunt with and shoot.

Anyways, kudos to the first person to post the "cool starry bra" photo. I know it's not much of a story but I'd never played with a shotgun of that quality before...

Anyone else here ever shoot one or own one?

Nice guns for sure. I had the opportunity to shoot a "K" gun a while back on the Skeet field. It was a fine gun, well balanced, it just didn't fit me well so my scores weren't that good with it.
At $20k, the one you shot was near the bottom of line for them. The one I got to shoot was nearly $100k

Both Krieghoff (Germany) and Perazzi (Italy) shotguns are works of art.

They range in price from $10,000 to $100,000 and beyond. They really are things of beauty.

Maybe one day if I win the lottery...

I am glad you had the opportunity to hunt with a Krieghoff. They are works of art.

I owned an early K32 in 12ga for trap and sporting clays. Love the gun, the look, the fit, and the feel. Given the chance again, I think I would buy a K80 instead.

        Cheers.

                  Absolutely stunning shotgun!

My son went trap shooting with a friend. He came home saying he used a "pizza something". I asked Perazzi? My son said "thats it!"

He said he didn't know much about shotguns, but it sure balanced well. He then asked if I could buy him one. After telling him the price tag he was shocked.

Well, since you fired it, we assume you hit some birds. How'd you do?

I see them from time to time on the trap field, those a Perazzi shotguns are frequently used by well heeled shooters or those who are very serious about the sport.

When they're in my squad, I'll remove the shell catcher (which is a hair band) and let the ejected shell fly from my semi-auto so I can watch their expression when it hit their gun.

                            j/k
