There are plenty of the Remington models sold with a barrel bracket, also called magazine extension bracket, that does not have a QD stud for the front sling sling point. Why would they do that?Because the Bracket with the QD stud cost $37 and the one without it cost $24. So, are you going to buy another bracket for $37 and have no use for the one you have. Heck no, I would not. Remington does not offer a kit for this but they sell the three parts. Problem is knowing which ones to get. Forget calling Remington and have the cubical clown that answers the phone send the right three parts. Your changes of that are 50/50 at best. But if you know the parts there is a better chance they won't screw up your order.
So being a Remington Master Gun Shop and knowing this stuff, I felt obligated to put the info out for you guys. You will find These are the exact same Remington parts installed on the barrel brackets that come with QD Stud These are not after market parts. It is a simple install with no tools required. Here are the three parts and what they look like
F104115 QD stud, F94779 Spacer, F94766 Retainer, Also if you are smart and look around you will find the kit put together for you for a little cheaper then then buying all three parts from Remington.
