I just bout a 725 sporting clays from a fellow calgunner and the serial numbers don,t match they are 2 numbers off I can,t get the fore stock lever to latch. the gun looks brand new I did not check all the serial numbers when I drosd it. the forstock and barrel match but the receiver is 2# differrant. is this normal

Doesn't sound right, specially on a new 725.
Serial numbers should match between receiver/forearm and barrels.
