    Super Black Eagle THREE?!

So 6 days ago I started a DROS on a super Black Eagle 2 (25thanniversary edition)

And today I find out that the super Black Eagle 3 was announced...frustrated

I am aware of the differences with the stock, feeding port, enlarged controls, etc, but my question is, is there any functional differences with the bolt, spring, etc.

Anything that would be different reliability wise compared to the SBE3

if it has been completely redesigned, I might wait a year or three to hear feedback. If it's only those small differences, I might consider losing a couple hundred dollars and selling mine to pick up the SBE3.

A little out of logic for me:"If it's only those small differences" why then:"consider losing a couple hundred dollars"? beyond my understanding.

I would think the other way is more logical:"if it has been completely redesigned, I might wait a year or three to hear feedback" and then :"consider losing a couple hundred dollars and selling mine to pick up the SBE3."

Am i wrong? Only my $0.02 but what i know.

      You sound like my wife.
      Yes, it's hard to justify.
I waste a lot of money on guns, hunting/camping/survival stuff...
May seem like a waste of money to some.
I'd prefer to have the new one if it's just as reliable.
      Crazy, I know.

Dont make it sound bad, it is actually good. Maybe, just maybe it is actually voice of wisdom, so you are lucky, you have a smart grown up lady for wife.

Trust me, you will never have enough money to chase the "New" things. and the more you chase it, the less money you have.
You are alone, but there are thousands of guys siting and thinking what marketing trick to release so icallshotgun88 would fall for it and shell out some more cash, he has a lot of it to spare, right?

The ducks you kill with it would be much deader than the ones killed with the SBII or A300 for the sake of argument, right?
Or the guys who lived 200 years ago in the woods without all your contemporary survival s***t could survive less efficient than you can? I bet not.

So, they are manipulating you, do you like it?

But again, it is your money and i'm an old poop. Dont listen because i sound like your wife and also millions of other boring SOBs...

I have the SBEII, I might consider getting the III if it was MORE than just the three changes you mentioned, otherwise, not worth it to me. Either way, I'd keep my SBEII regardless.

I was looking at a SBE turkey gun, now I will have to check this new model out!?
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

The thing is, a real functional improvement on the SBE would be text along the lines of 'the recoil no longer feels like being in a car accident at freeway speed', so unless the marketing's got something like that, sounds like you're still good.

3 = 2 x 1.5. 150%!!! Not quite as stark as going from the 1 to the 2, but significant.

you probably won't be able to get your hands on one for at least 6 months, anyway.

Just don't let your friends, club guys, or other hunters see you with the -2 in the meantime, for cripes sakes. That's what gun socks were invented for.

I have a I and a II, and I just shoot the I because it never fails or jambs. Does what a duck gun is supposed to do, and the II is getting lonely as a backup. Don't see any need for a III. Just me.

Remember that Beretta owns Benelli, and Beretta is notorious for making insignificant cosmetic changes to their guns just to suck you in. Like the annual new models used to be with cars.
