    Mag lock for shotguns

What type of mag lock can be used on a semi automatic shotgun such as a saiga .410 with a magazine to comply with the new regulations for 2017? Will it need to be converted to a featureless shotgun?

No such thing as featureless shotgun and as of yet, no maglocks available to create a fixed magazine such that that action needs to be opened to reload

Mag-latch might have something close or could work. Not sure how similar internals of a saiga to an AKM.

Webnar from the law firm on tuesday 1-10 put on by crpa and nra said shotguns were not included in the new law by the legislature just center fire rifles. Doj tried to put that into the regulations anyway not sure its legitimate will ask the law firm about this directly and what must be done regarding shotguns.

The saiga shotgun should have already had a bullet button on it or it was already illegally configured.

It already had a bullet button but bullet buttons are no longer legal unless registered as of 2017. We are talking about bullet buttoned shotguns bought before 2017 and if they require registration as of 2017 or not.

Yeah they seem to be the front runner for a vendor option

Semi auto shotgun legality is up in the air. The new law does not include them, as the CRPA and NRA have pointed out, but the new regs from the DOJ claims the law does include shotguns. Expect a lawsuit to sort this out, but a CA anti-gun judge to decide the case. It is a mess.

For semi-auto shotguns it's unknown until CA DOJ regulations get finalized.

So, we are in wait and see mode, while the lawyers fight it out.
