    Poll: SBEII vs super Vinci

Im going straight from work to go buy a new duck gun today...(I know it's the end of the season, but the stock broke on my 870 and it's a great excuse to buy a new gun)

I shouldered and shot both and have read tons of threads of people arguing on which one is better and why...I still can't decide so I thought I'd post a poll..

It might come down to what they have in stock

Which one do you like and why?

    Do you own one?

    Have you shot both?

How long have you had it?

    Issues?

    Etc..

I don't own either but did have a Vinci. I just like the Vinci series better and believe they are better at cycling light loads. If the gun will only be used for waterfowl then it's a moot point about cycling light loads. The SBE II has better resale value.

      I had two options:

      1. Super Vinci $1749
      2. Super Black Eagle 2 25th anniversary edition $1749

Sure, I could have got a better price somewhere else but I had $450 in gift cards..

I liked the features of the SBE2 so I went with that...

I also think it just looks better than the super vinci

      We'll see how she shoots!

SBII has much better feedback. Also, much nicer IMO.

          Have you shot both? No

How long have you had it? ~10 years

I've had both, still shoot the SBEII. I can't put into words as well, but the SBEII shot better for me. The feel was more comfortable, but it worked better with my hunting gloves and jacket on. The key is to try it with your hunting gear to make sure things fit comfortably before committing. Either way, you can't go wrong. They both cycled everything I fed them. I voted for the SBEII based on personal experiences with both, but your opinion might be polar opposite.

              Hey, Jerry! Hope you're well!

I haven't had a chance to try a Vinci. I bought an SBEII over 10 years ago and have used and abused it mostly for waterfowl but also for turkey, clays, and the occasional squirrel in the garden, and I have to say... It is one of the finest machines I have owned. Cars, trucks, motos, bicycles, tools, guns, whatever. I try to remember to clean it after goose season. I've put all kinds of crap through it and it has been flawless. A few years ago, a friend and I went down to his dad's club near Kern. His dad is in his 80's, and had collected a 7 gallon bucket full of assorted 12g shells of all kinds: paper hull, plastic with plastic bases, target loads, goose loads, turkey loads, buckshot, you name it. We set up the trap and shot them all (cobwebs, dust, dirt, bugs and all) with zero malfunctions. Though I admit it was a ***** show as my friend was loading the gun. Nothing like a couple target loads followed by a big 3.5. I almost didn't buy it because of the fugly trigger guard and forearm, but I'm glad I did, function over form. I have a bunch of guns of all types, but this one is by far the most trouble free of all of them. It's the definition of a tool.

can anyone recommend a turkey choke for the SBE2?
