DDI-12 or Saiga help on mag release.

Guys I bought a DDI-12 (Saiga clone). Being in Cali the normal mag release is gone and I have this funky little tool to try and release it. It flat out doesnt work and I cannot release the mag.

Anyone else have a solution for this?

    Thanks a lot!

Can you take a photo of it?
Bounce a ball in Football that's a fumble. Baseball, no bouncing at all. Bounce a ball in Hockey, well that's a mandatory drug test right there...

That looks like a Saiga 12 Raddlock. I can scan and post a copy of the instructions if you like.

That is what I have, is that kit. The additional parts are not on the gun. The place I bought it from is saying use the lanyard tool to push up into where the tab holds the mag. That simply doesnt work. I can pull the mag out forward with a lot of force. I think that will wear down the plastic tab though over time.

          Frustrated.

          Thank you.

With that setup, you do have to pull the mag forward with a lot of pressure while wedging the tool between the mag and the tab. You might want to take out the mag and look to see that the components were installed correctly, specifically the spring retainer, spring and spring guide. The shop where you bought the gun should be able to help you as well.

Ok I figured it out. The Raddlock tool works fine on the 5rd mags but wont release the 10rd mags.

              Anyone know what to do?

..a small file to take some material off the mag until it releases smoothly.

They have been quite helpful and yes I can remove the 5rd mag easily. The 10rd saiga mag the tool cannot get inbetween the catch on the gun and the mag. I can get the mag out with a LOT of force pulling it out the opposite way it went it but I think that will wear on the catches..

                  5rd is smooth release.
