    Mossberg 930 Aluminum Follower

SBE Precision Products has a new Competition/Tactical follower for the Mossberg 930 SPX, and JM series of shotguns. They also put out a new "Plus One" magazine cap for the Nordic MXT extensions. With the SPX a Nordic 2 shot extension with the "Plus One" cap provides the full 7 shot capacity, and is flush with the muzzle. On the JM Pro it provides a full 10 +1 capacity, and is slightly forward of the muzzle.

What does the follower do that the factory one doesn't do?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

NO, it works better. I was one of those that said the follower has one function and that is to keep the magazine spring from popping into the receiver when the last round is loaded. Then SBE sent me samples of their follower. I saw the Teflon coating and thought " WTF I'll try it" and installed one in one of my personal 870's. As I was loading shells into the mag tube I noticed they were going in smoother. Well, you can't tell what a follower is doing when you are shooting, so even a dumb Jarhead like me realized that if they are going in smoother they must be coming down the tube smoother. I have been featuring the SBE followers in my Custom Buildz ever since and even offer them on my e-store. Why? Because they work better then any that have been sent to me to test and they are duty quality. Also, I have noticed they are very tough and mine has stood up to a lot of trigger time and I don't see any need to even think about changing it any time soon.

So for the others here that had the opposite to say about this product I will simply ask what you are basing you comments on? If you have any factual proof please share it with us.

            big BS for sure

Proof of what? that the original is bad? What is bad about them? If you have any factual proof please share it with us
What is the proof they work better? How better they should be.

Read my post. That is the factual proof. If the shells go in smoother they come out smoother. And the part about how durable it is. I will not list all the followers I have had to compare as I am not going to blast other business on a forum and they all worked, just not as good as the SBE.

I don't post BS. I gave you a practical exercise to test a follower. Test them and let us know what you found out. We will wait right here for the results.

Aside from smoother function the orange face of the follower allows for quick visual verification that the magazine tube is empty. The large hole in the face of the follower allows the tactile verification in low light, and even total darkness. One thing that is also better is that the follower has chamfered edges to avoid hanging up in the transition between the extension, and the magazine tube of of the shotgun. The tail of the follower is also there to prevent the magazine spring from kinking.

I will also add that if you get several of each follow and take your caliper and check for roundness you are going to find the SBE Followers are about as perfect as you can find. Polymer ones are often out of round. And yes, I am sure some of the other higher end followers are equal to the quality of the SBE but not as many as you might think.

Not wanting a fuss about any of this. I just want to ensure readers that the Product in question is one of the top of the line products in this class and dissuade some comments made that might lead readers to think other wise. There are a lot of people offering products out there that they have staked their financial futures on. The came up with them, developed them and believe in them. They took all risk to start these small businesses. Those are the people I want to give my business to when I find their products to be duty quality and at a fair prices. They had the nads to put their future into it and most of them put all their coin into it as well, but hey that is the American way. Other seem to have no problem attacking the product with out any experience with it, knowledge of it or facts to why one should not purchase one.

I don't think I would ever just change the follower, but when I did a Scattergun technologies +2 that included a new follower on a beater 870 I picked up I also noticed the difference in how smooth the shells went in, and assume the same would apply when going out.
Some say it also adds a visual aid for insuring the weapon is clear. When / if this follower goes I'll probably run the SBE.

i like a nice and bright, reputable polymer follower.

                        brightly colored for visual aid
polymer for maximum reduction of friction, no coating to worry about

Nope, it is your biased opinion (Statement actually) which i called BS which indeed is
Can it be considered a proof?
Also, my 20+ years and 10s of thousands of rounds with not a single failure with original one? Isn't it a proof enough?

Why your opinion is more proof than mine?

And about visual assistance is another BS!! what is more different than black original follower and the copper or silver bright shell cap or how you call it?
This is the best assistance- shiny -> Loaded, Black -> Empty

Sounds like you have never trained at night Sandro. As Team Leader of an HRT I wanted every other range session at night. Problem was I had to rent range time from other Departments and was only able to get one a month at night. That is not enough but I had to deal with it. It all changes at night from that bright sunny range most people shoot on. A darken kill house is far from that world. It would be wonderful if SHTF only at 12 noon instead of 12 midnight.

If you had trained at night you would understand the point that berineb90 was making, which is a valid one as are mine.

You should just let go of it Sandro, accusing people of posting BS when you may not have a complete knowledge of the subject is just making for bad reading.

Sure, i do not engage in BS children's games. My guns are tools for hunting.

How do you know when i was trained and where?
Trust me, while you still were peeing your diapers at kindergarten i used my guns in Afghanistan and Lebanon extensively at day and night, so, please, do not BS me with your childish games, you wannabe solder.
