    Benelli Comfotech review

    The Good:
Good griping surfaces, very little ringing from the plastic stock, adjustable cast and drop with shims, LOP with easy to remove recoil pad.
Good pitch on the stock (for my fat body type) no cheek slapping and minimal barrel jump

The Bad : To tight of a radius on the pistol grip, fine for target loads but the heavy 3" mags will slam the trigger guard into you index finger

The Comfortech stock recoil pad design is a wedge. The recoil concentrates on a small surface area ....shooting rounds of clays gets tough on the shoulder. Shooting in the blind with 3" mags ,lots of layers and a jacket is ok, for a while.

I don't know what the designers were thinking or if they even shot the M2 with more then a light target load.

I'll need to change out that recoil pad and pad up the back side of the trigger guard when out goose hunting.

Well that is my observation...yours my vary

I didnt know you could get a M2 with a pistol grip and comfortech. I would have went that route. I put a Mesa tactical pistol grip on mine.

As for that radius I am not sure who's hand fits it. I used a rasp to open it up and make it more comfortable.

Edit: Looking at Benelli's webpage and can only find comfortech with the traditional style grip.

Did you think he hunts geese with a pistol grip?
It seems to me Thefeeder is a serious man and does not have a single gun with a pistol grip. (I might be wrong) LOL... But let's ask him what he meant

        ><

Pistol grip is any grip shaped like a pistol grip, straight or curved......The phrase goes back before the combat version.

It's just called a "grip" on a normal stock.

The variations have names ....not just grips

IMO the Benelli has a very tight radius pistol grip that is painful to use unless you hold it with a death grip or are shooting light loaded shells

It's only confusing people when you call it a pistol grip when a traditional grip is clearly not like a pistol. Each their own I guess.

For what it's worth I like my M2 comfortech and have no complaints, but if you're having trouble, either get a limbsaver recoil pad or switch to a gas gun which will have less kick.
