    Trying to decide...

returning to Trap & Skeet after many years away, previous guns were Browning Special Sporting and Citori, Benelli Supersport.

    Looking now at:
    - Beretta a400 Xcel (Parallel Target or Standard)
    - Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 Sporting
    - Browning Citori 725 Sporting (30" non-ported)
    - Browning Crossover Target

I've been able to test-fit the first 3 in local stores, but not the Crossover (which I've seen at a Nevada Cabelas near me). Both the Silver Pigeon and 725 seem to fit great. The a400 is kind of my leading favorite, but I'm a little "tall" looking down the rib, and can't seem to find out what the range of adjustment the shim provides - anyone know how much drop at the comb is possible? The standard Xcel sight picture is great, but the Parallel Target is a little high.

To complicate matters, I'm looking for a gun more or less equally split between Skeet (Metcalf Park, SJ) and Trap (Sunnyvale Rod & Gun). I enjoy both and don't want to get a 'specialized' gun - expecting I'll get 30" or 32" barrel. I'd love to get an adjustable comb but can't find any in my price range ($2,300).

    Any opinions much appreciated -

I would bypass getting reacquainted with a new gun. If there was one from the three you had before that you shot well, buy it again. Save yourself the couple of thousand rounds before it feels natural in your hands again.

Wow, those guns are as different as different can be. Pick the one that feels the best in your hands. Trust me, only one of those will fit you.
