Well over 2000 rounds now competing in action steel plate and shooting clays.
The guns been flawless with 1200 fps 1.125oz birdshot.
The finish scratches fairly easily. The parkerizing in the barrel, tube extension and annodizing is weak sauce. Have been touching it up with a Birch n Casey paint pen. The charging handle is looking "hand polished". Wear I'd expect from a 10 year old ranch gun, not on a 6 month old once a month gun, if that. I don't mind as I've seen Benelli M2s beat up at matches. Mines just looking lovingly used
Every time I clean the gun, the bolt assembly just looks like third tier Spanish or a Brazilian gun manufacturing. It does the job tough and it is what it is.
The FCG assembly has developed a bit of a wiggle when I try to rock it by the trigger guard. Nothing noticeable during firing. The trigger over travel has had to be readjusted as the screw seems to be backing out. I put some loctite on it.
Cleaning has become easier with familiarity. I used a lead cleaning cloth to clean up the gas tube. It's fast and easy with it. Every 500-800 rounds, I'll spray silicone oil into the bore and clean it with a bore brush attached to a hand drill. That clears out any hull gunk that sometimes accumulates. A 5 minute operation.
Over all, still happy with it. Helluva value at 620 bucks when on sale.
Honestly, I'm jonesing for a Benelli, just because it's pretty. But I've got all the shotgun I need for what I do
If this years bonus is good, an M2 may be in my future.
Midterm Conclusion - if you want a semi-auto all around workhorse at a reasonable price, JACKPOT! Looking for a sexy gun? Move on to the dance floor. The game at the bar is meh. The only one there is an 8 that goes to a 6 by the second date
