I was shooting league this weekend, and having problems with second round feeding on my Rem 1100. Today I tore it down for a good cleaning. Was not in bad shape...
I pulled the trigger group, and found a small washer floating around... Looking at the parts diagram, it is the #54 Hammer Pin Washer. I can see where it came off the #53 Hammer Pin. But, it is not clear how to reattach it. It looks like the end of the hammer in may have been staked or peened over to hold the washer.
Is it a simple place the washer and peen the end of the Hammer Pin? I would like to shoot it at league next Saturday, but wondering if may need to take it to a Smith to have it put on properly...?
