    Browning vs Winchester shotguns?

Have almost made my decision on what shotguns to get. However, one thing I have not been able to straighten out completely:

Which Browning and Winchester shotguns are parallel/s to each other? Or in other words, which ones are the same guns mechanically (from what I understand, both companies are owned by FN and many of the guns are the same major parts/internals with some minor styling or small parts differences)?

From what I've read so far:
    - Winchester SX2 = Browning Silver
    - Winchester SX2 is almost the same as the SX3 except for the barrel and receiver being lighter (due to alloy instead of steel parts) on the SX3.
    - Browning Silver is almost the same as the Gold except the Gold is 10G only now.
    - Browning Maxus is "it's own" new(er) gun?
    - Browning A5 (not the old Auto 5 from the early 1900's) is also "it's own" new(er) gun?

Also, not sure if the FN SLP is a parallel to any of the shotguns above, but the SLPs that I tried did not work well for me at all vs the Browning and Winchesters I've tried.

I think my first gen Browning Gold Stalker was made in Portugal. Don't know about the current ones. Mine is long gone because it did not work consistently.

That sucks, but I would rather have a gun made in Japan.

Upon closer inspection, Maxus could be made in Belgium, could be assembled in Portugal. Other models made in Japan and the USA. Sx3 could be made in Belgium, could be assembled in Portugal, with partner factories operating in Turkey. Again ?????
              If anyone knows more, please...

Turkish shotguns are actually quite good. They have been making them for a long time and they're quality really isn't too bad at all. I have a few, and they all work flawlessly.

Nope, looks different and internal parts are different.

And yes, Turkish guns are good.
Big5 had ATI semi gas operated with two barrels for around $300. Cannot go wrong with it.

                            OK, now i'll stand corrected.
After some 250-300 shells most of which are target load 2 3/4 and less than 50 3" duck loads the gun actually started falling apart.

1- the trigger group gave a ghost. The wear was so extensive, the gun did not function reliably. They sent me a new one(the trigger group).
                            2. - 5-7 shots latter with the new trigger group, the gun stopped reloading.
When i opened it for inspection a big chunk of metal fell off. Found out a big part of the bolt just broke off.
                            3. Further inspection reveled that the bolt carrier has very extensive wear as well

Sent it back to ATI. Hope they take it. No more Turkish garbage for me.
Ones more, you are getting what you are paying for.
If i had only one gun it would mean a ruined duck season.

I wouldn't get too hung up on which gun is which. Buy the one that fits you and you like best.
