    Laser for 12ga HD Autoloader?

I figure, what's the point? I have ghost ring sights on my 930 SPX, but a laser is all I need for HD, yes?

So, what lasers have you guys used, and where do you mount them? Pics please!!

I'm no pro, but I would not rely on a laser as a primary aiming device. For HD a bead sight is adequate. Ghost rings work well too. It's all preference though and if you prefer a laser then go for it.

Not saying I won't use the GR sights because they are definitely staying on. What I am saying, though, is that a sturdy laser would be an ideal pointing device, especially for a HD scatter gun. Not sure why I don't see more of them outfitted this way.

        .,

You already have an ideal pointing device, the shotgun. Another ideal pointing device you already have is your finger, pretty darn accurate and there are no sights on your finger . When you learn to point a shotgun using the same concepts that enable you to point your finger at a target....then you will be a good shotgun shooter.

I already am. Last time I went shooting I shot from the hip and did quite well. I'm thinking a laser would make me even better.

I don't know if he frequents the forum here much anymore..but "aippi" is one of the go-to-guys when it comes to HD shotguns. Mainly the 870 but either way..for HD he suggests the bead sight is all you need. GR sights take more time and can get you killed in his opinion...but then again his opinion isn't taken lightly either. YMMV. My .02

An RMR or T2 would be an ok way to go, as they work fantastic in the dark and can be generally zeroed to the load you prefer. As far as lasers, id pass.

a laser wouldn't be very effective when shooting buckshot. Ghost ring sights work well with slugs, not so much with birdshot or buckshot.

I have ghost ring sights and a weapons light on my HD shotgun. I could live without the GRS, but I would definitely recommend a weapons light.
