    Ithaca model 51, help !!

I was given a shotgun, Ithaca model 51 featherweight 12 Ga. it belonged to a relative, I have no idea how old it is however it is in good shape, I would like to know how to take it apart for cleaning etc. I can't even find any markings to indicate the choke.
    I would appreciate any help.

I owned one about 25 years ago and I can't remember if it was any more difficult than any other semi-auto. Unthread the forearm nut off of the top of the forearm, slide the forearm off and then the barrel should come right off afterwards. The trigger assembly comes out the bottom after you remove the retaining pins.

There are disassembly books for sale on the internet but I haven't seen a free one. Contact http://www.ithacagunsusa.com/ most manufacturers will usually send you a free owner's manual on request.
