    Rifle shotgun

Anybody know what I can get to reduce the recoil on a Savage 212? choketubes, recoil pads? If so, the make and model? Does Limb Saver make one? If so, do you know the model number?

You can figure it out here -

LimbSaver makes high-quality products like recoil pads and accessories for the archery, firearm, and hunting enthusiast and beginner alike.

    Then buy the correct Limbsaver.

Choke tubes are not going to help you. Maybe porting the barrel, but a butt-pad is way cheaper.

If it's too much for you, PM me a price.
It cannot be inherited, nor can it ever be purchased.
You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.

The single most important thing for reducing felt recoil is proper fit of the gun to youe shooting style. A proper recoil pad will help, porting will not. The pressures atained in a shotgun are not high enough for porting to do anything useful.

I bought the gun already but have not shot it but heard shooting slugs is not the same as shooting #2 bbs for ducks.

            ><

Unfortunately there is a lot more misinformation about shotgun shells then there is information.

A shell loaded with a 1 1/8oz slug going 1550 fps and the same shell loaded with 1 1/8oz of #2's in a duck load going 1550 ....they both will recoil the same.

There are many other variables in shells that contribute to more or less recoil...
but if we are talking just changing the size of the projectile ....yea 1=1

It is correct in terms of the recoil physics, however, there is felt recoil issue, which is a little bit a different animal.
I know one thing, i regularly shoot 1oz 2.75 sabots and for some reason they kick much much harder than 1 1/4 3 inch #3 duck load.
                Maybe it is just me
