I put a red dot on my shotgun...

can't wait it to take to another match. but first,

how do you zero a shotgun with a red dot? 25 yards?

Should I do it with birdshot, which I normally use, are do I zero with slugs. so I can actually see the center?

What type of shells do you use in a "match"?

No clue what the "right answer" is as I just did it on the fly, but I used slugs for my SRM in order to have a better idea of accuracy. Good luck

I do a laser bore sight to get me close, and then adjust as needed using slugs. Are you using a fast fire red dot?
WTB: Marlin 989 M2 stock (uncracked), and 989 M2 rifles
        Thanks

3 gun and steel plate - 7.5 birdshot. I could use that, but figuring out center will be difficult between freeze fire at the range lol.

I used a PA micro dot. Ive used it on a few guns. Works good. The rail is from UTG, 11 bucks plus 15 minutes cutting 1.5mm off two of the 4 bolts used so as to not hit the barrel through the receiver. The rail is actually for a Mossy 500.

When I first put a red dot on my sg, I found it made it more difficult to use because of how high the optic was. I put on a voodoo tactical stock pack and it made it perfect.

              Just my experience
