    Need help

My uncle passed away and I am helping my aunt go through some of his firearms. While cataloging some of them today, I came across a Meyer Special side by side shotgun. I am attempting to learn about this particular firearm, but am not having any luck locating any info. If you know anything or could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance and please don't ask to buy it Should she decide to thin the heard, it will be in the proper location. Thanks again,
    Jason

A picture might help. Looks like Meyer was a German manufacture from my quick google search.

          Maybe useful info
16 gauge, 29" Damascus barrels, S/N 42. The left lockplate features inlaid gold reading Meyer, surrounded by a gold inlaid pine cone pattern. The right lockplate reads A St. Etienne in gold with the same surrounding pattern. The hammers and upper and lower tang also feature inlaid gold. The break lever, positioned on the underside of the triggerguard, also feature an inlaid gold crown proof. With fancy grain checkered walnut stock and forearm.

You are bidding on an interesting 16 ga German double barrel shotgun. It folds right in half for easy carry. This SXS has mirror shiny bores and locks very ti
