I keep trying to stock on ammo but I also keep using it, spent 6 hours at Angeles Shooting Range today and went through 800rds 5.56. I'd say store it unless you absolutely know you'll never use that caliber.

IMO, you don't have the quantity worth it to sell. Do you really want to mess around with meeting people and answering PMs to sell 76 rounds of target loads (worth less than $20)?

Shoot it. Then you can decide for yourself if Win Universal sucks or not. I can't imagine it's the limiting factor, but I'm also new to shotguns.

what should I do with it? Save it? Sell it? it is stuff that I don't think I would ever use..oh yeah, is this stuff any good? I think I remember reading the universal stuff sucked?

The birdshot is just fine for targets. Some guns have issues with steel based hulls, but most do not. The Universal hull sucks for reloading, but that doesn't seem to be in your future.

The 00 buck and slugs use is self explanatory. Trade/sell if not in your interest.

Jimbo, just keep the stuff. Shoot it when you make it out to the range/trap park. Make sure to use #8 at a trap range, 00 buck keep for the bad guys.

Crappy ammo is the best practice. Getting quick at clearing jams is an important skill.

My personal, not trying to be a jerk, opinion; keep a box or two of 00 buck for emergencies, then take the rest and go have yourself a real fun afternoon. Problem solved.
