Question for Benelli M4 guys -field stock popularity but no photos?

Based on other forums and wanted to buy ads, etc., I am under the impression that the field stock is extremely popular with M4 owners. Yet, you rarely see photos of the M4 wearing one. Always standard pistol grip or the collapsible. Why is that?

      I think you're wrong.

This is just my personal observation but I would say the overwhelming majority of m4 owners are using the pistol grip. Which is why you don't see a ton with a field stock.

And this isn't to say that field stocks aren't awesome...cause they are. But I think for most people who buy the m4, there are other mods that are a higher priority than the stock...extended mag tube and the additional needed parts to keep the gun 922R compliant.

I also suspect some folks initially think that they will put a field stock on the gun but once they shoot it with the pistol grip, they find that it's not a big deal and just keep the factory stock.

Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong. Just seems like I see a lot of posts about the field stock.

The current stock configurations are just fine...said the 6' 4" tall guy with 35" arms.

I'm only 6 ft but have gibbon-arms and yet I find the Urbino stock more comfortable than the stock pistol grip. I've decided to have a field stock cut down by a gunsmith who will also add a limbsaver. It will be interesting to compare to the Urbino.

Very interesting. Pictures please when that gets completed and info on who did the work...not that I need the shorter stock. But I bet other "vertically challenged" people will be interested.

I've also thought about picking up a field stock at some point. My problem, however, is that I like field stocks and pistol grips equally well. Clearly the solution here is to buy a second m4 and outfit it with a field stock...right!?
