Well it is registered. Granted the gun was baught in 95' but when it is reported stolen or missing it gets threon into the data base. When i filed the police report the cop said that all new shot guns and long guns are. But like if some one were to run the numbers it will come up as missing or stolen. So like if they were to find it in someone possesion, that person would get charged and aresseted. Thats what the cop said. Yha that would be awsome. I have been calling around looking for this thing. All i want is to get it back and i dont care how i get it back. There are a lot of good memories with this thing.

              Missing Benelli

Yeah, my M1 went missing the day after I brought it home. I had a bass tournament, got home late, stuffed it in the entry closet so I could get to bed. Left for my tourney and when I got home I had been burglarized. Never even got to shoot it. Pisses me off.

You might want to provide a partial serial # so Norcal Calgunners know what to look for.

Can you describe it other than it looking odd? GR or rifle sights, ext mag tube? PG stock? sling?

Good luck in recovering your shotgun.

Well when i mean odd. Like did the person look shady or did somthin just not feal right. this is what it looks like. 16" barrel, pistol grip, peep sights, nothin fancy just a basic tactical shot gun. That is grea for everything. It also had a full set of interchangeable chokes with it.

Did you provide the serial number to the officer?
Long gun serial numbers are not retained in any database automatically unless it has been previously stolen, is a class III weapon, reg AW or a voluntary registration of a long gun (extra form and not common). So if you didn't give it to him, he doesn't have it.

Take my word for it. If LE run the serial number of a long gun, and it is not in the stolen property database, it does not come back registered to anyone.

If you do have the serial number, I would sugest posting it here so that others can be looking for it.

oh yha believe me, i gave him the serial #. That is why it is now regitered in the data base. that was one of the first things he asked for.
