Yes it does- although, a friend of mine did not get the shim kit in his package when he bought his.

i would have him contact either the ffl he bought it from to get a replacement, or i'm sure you can order them from benelli. i ran mine for a little bit and made mounting adjustments based on what came on it. but once i finally decided to make the adjustments with the shim kit, it made a pretty decent difference, and made mounting the gun more natural and didn't have to worry about me adjusting to the gun.

My son has a 30" Sport II and I have a 30" SS that we use for sporting clays, skeet, and trap. If I hunted extensively I would go with a SBE II for the 3.5" chamber and not having to worry about damaging the finish or alarming prey caused by reflection. There is a good deal in 'long guns' section for a SBE II with extras, $1,100 in OC, looks to be in excellent condition.

It can happen at the retailer. I've taken a shotgun out of the box to check the serial # and somehow the shims fell out. I noticed them laying on the floor later. Whoever was spoken to at Benelli must be a jerk. Usually they are very accommodating. I would call back.
