11-87 piston ring assembly question

I received Remington brand Gas System Kit from Sportsmansguide.

It is different than what is currently on the gun.

I like to know which way is correct way to assemble the rings.

I can tell that those rings overlap. But do not know which way.






Which is correct way?

A is the correct way and the ring snaps onto the larger piece.
