Anybody know anything about Charles Daly?

I was with a friend yesterday while he was shopping for a shotgun, and we saw a Charles Daly semi auto for about $250 or so, he found a pump elsewhere for a better deal, but we were both curious about the brand, are they just new? any good? I never heard about them before

Charles Daly is part of KBI Inc. and has been importing lower to middle grade firearms for many years (maybe 50) mostly from Europe. In the last 20 years they imported a lot of the Russian and Turkish longarms and are now branching out into handguns of various types.

I have seen mixed reviews on the internet. On the other hand, I've read pretty good things about Legacy Sport's Escort Shotguns. The price point should be about the same.

I just noticed one for the 1st time an hour ago when I was in Big 5 getting a Mossberg 500a for $249.99.
