    Price checking a shotgun

    Hey guys,

I haven't been on the forum for a number of years, so if this isn't the place for this type of question, feel free to let me know what section I should be posting in.

So I'm looking to sell my Browning Citori 725 Sporting with 32 inch ported barrels. The issue is I'm not sure what a fair sell price is. I bought it new for $3k and have put about 1k rounds through it. There isn't any barrel or stock damage to speak of.

Is there some place where I can check to see what the current value of my shotgun would be without signing up for the blue book of guns?

Shotgunworld.com has a for sale section. They go for $2500 to $2700 depending on how fast you want to sell it.

Might want to ask the question on trapshooters.com, you may find better luck in determining a fair price there.

Check the For Sale section here too. But ysr seems to have pegged it accurately.

Just to compare...Joel Etchens guns has a brand new one for $2,725 non-adj comb and $3,025 with adj comb. One would have to add shipping, FFL fees and possible tax to that price.

You can call John at Pacific Sporting Arms in Azusa. I believe he takes consignments. He should be able to give you his estimated consignment price.

                Good luck.

I would buy it FAST at $2000. Like you'd sell in an hour, or less. A reasonable price, if you want to take a few days to find a buyer, is between $2350-$2500. It's a great gun, it will sell. Just don't price it what a new one goes for
