    wall-mount a Lifejacket (LJ3) Gun Lock?

When I purchased my LJ3 gun lock (lifejacket) I was under the impression I could wall-mount it. I envisioned two holes in the housing body to bolt to a stud.

Well I just got it in the mail and No mounting holes. It also feels kind of flimsy but is CA DOJ approved... and made in China

Anyways, anyone drilled holes and mounted this item in their home?

I've mounted it to the wall using two 7" lag screws and washers. It feels pretty study and even if someone somehow ripped it off the wall, they'd still have to break/hack/pry off the lifejacket.

Did you mount vertically or horizontally? I noticed if I held the Lifejacket with the shotgun in it, it angles downward causing the top of the receiver to rest against the plastic... seems like vertically makes the gun rest on the plastic piece that sits in the ejection port.... just wondering how you mounted it.

I actually tried both ways and settled on mounting it vertically because it fit better space-wise in the closet.
