    Coach gun in the making

I've wanted a coach gun for a while, but just haven't found one I like for a price ....I'm just cheap ok?

I picked up a beat to heck and rusty JC Stevens 1017/311 Sears 12 ga double barrel for next to nothing. Figured that would be a good candidate for a coach gun as I have plenty of other hunter models.

Has anyone played with this type of shotgun or made a coach gun? I'll put up pics when I get some.

Closest I got to that was picking up a stevens 94 that needed some love. Single barrel CCH receiver. Fun project to do with the wife.

      .
I was so horny for a proper coach gun at one point but too cheap to throw down the $450 entry fee... so I snatched up a $125 H&R single-shot break-action 12 ga made in 1940 then chopped the barrel at 20"... holy Toledo, Ohio! the thing literally kicks like a mule.

I still want a proper coach gun. Few firearms are as badass as a coach gun.

Agreed. There's just something about a short double barrel that just says f*** **u.

I got it home, man its rough. Been taking pics and will post them up in a couple days when there's something worth looking at.
