870 3 Round Mag Extension Choice

I have been looking at my available options for a 3 round extension an I came up with these.

I'm most interested to know anything I should stay away from.

Do I need an upgraded follower, if so, polymer or the $17 Nordic Teflon Coated, Low Drag, washes you car one.



ProMag: No follower, says Made in America but the cheapest, weird these days. $33

TacStar: No follower, $50

Choate: W / follower, $45

Remington: No follower, $60

Carlsons: W / follower, $60

Nordic: No follower, $76

I feel like I'm coming off as cheap but damn they are proud of that. With the clamp and follower it's over $100. Not sure how they call it a "kit".

I was hoping there might be some opinions on the other brands I mentioned. I'm thinking Remington with a good quality follower at this point.

I have the S&J extension for my Mossberg 590 but I know they have one for 870. Made out of a solid piece of steel. Super rugged. Comes with follower, spring and sling plate. Not cheap but def. quality.

I bought the Nordic 3 round for my 20" 870 and it fit perfectly. I did not order the Nordic follower at the same time but did eventually. The only thing I wish Nordic did is pre-bend one end of the follower spring.

Did you consider the 3 round extension made by Remington I'm running the 2 round on a 870P and it works great

I'm using a Wilson Combat 2-round extension and like it because it doesn't require a clamp. That gives a cleaner look, at least for me.
