Escort MPA SA Round Capacity

I recently purchased an Escort MPA Semi Auto from Big 5. Their website has it advertised with a "6-round Capacity" I tried loading 5, 2-3/4" shells into the tube and I could only fit 4. The 5th shell goes in about halfway and can't go in any further. I contacted the manufacturer and provided them with my serial number and told me that the model that I have, a home defense semi auto is only capable of 4+1 rounds. Any one else has one of these that can successfully load 5 rounds in the tube?

Some manufacturers limit them to 5 for hunting purposes. My friend bought a Mossberg 500, had a plastic dowel in the tube limiting capacity. Took it out and it holds the right amount of shells. I'd check to see if its been temporarily blocked to 4 shells.

Hmmm... I thought about that. There was a shell limiter that I had already taken out. I'm going to strip down the gun completely and see if there's anything else limiting the magazine.

Not all 2 3/4" shells are the same length.

I believe there is a dude out there on the great wide internet who makes mag extensions for these shotguns. I thought about picking up one myself and turning it into an 7+1.

what ammo you using?

the cheap 2 3/4" european buckshot, S&B, Wolf imports, estate, etc, can be significantly longer than 2 3/4"

2 3/4" is the length after it is fired. So all shots hell differs in length greatly

Hmm ok. I'll try to find other shells and see if I can fit 5 in the tube. ☺
