    +1 for Knoxx

I have a spec-ops stock on my 870 that I installed day one and never really appreciated it before this weekend. The friends all brought their shotguns and needless to say, I never got a chance to fire mine, they were actually roeshambo'n for mine. I pulled the trigger on a few of theirs and it was unpleasant. So +1 for Knoxx

+2 for Knoxx. Love mine. Just wish they would get the SpecOps Folder out already. Been waiting a couple of months for Midway to get some in stock.

Once you get the feel for it, one can actually utilize the "recoil" to help eject/chamber the next round easier than with the OEM stock.

The only down side to using it would be for a slug gun.... I wanted to get a rifled slug barrel for my Mossberg 500, but figured that the scout scope I would put on it would move to much to be useful...If it didn't smack me right in the eye...

Other than that, I Love it!

I picked one up for my Mossberg 590 and was VERY impressed by the recoil reduction.

Have to agree, it works really well on my 870. I am thinking on getting the barrel ported which will knock the recoil down even more
It's better to have it, and not need it, then to need it, and not have it.

I wholeheartedly agree with all of you regarding the Knoxx stock. It rocks. Though Mesa Tactical offers something similar, the Knoxx stock is much less expensive.

In regards to the porting (i.e. Vang Comp Systems), I had thought the porting reduced recoil, but actually, pursuant to advise from shotgun guru Louis Awerbuck, the porting reduces muzzle rise and not actual recoil. However, reduced muzzle climb gives the shooter a sense of less "felt" recoil.

I would strongly recommend Vang Comp work if your pocketbook allows.

I love my Knoxx on my 870. Shooting heavy loads is just much more fun now. I can run through boxes of 00 and slugs without getting a purple shoulder. My friends have all bough one since they shot mine. Well worth the money.

Hard to beat Knoxx for their recoil reducing stocks:

In on this, have one on my mossberg. Only time I slap on the old synthetic stock is when I bust clays at the range.
