    ATI Tac sx2

Anyone have any experiences with this shotgun? I'd like to start trap shooting, would you consider this for that? Pretty much on a budget and want a Shotgun that you can change out barrels, chokes, etc. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. This would be my first purchase for a shotgun/rifle. TIA.

    ><

For a starter Clays gun : 28" barrel, removable chokes, standard field/sport stock (one that is adjustable using shims would be of great help) , bead sight.

The rest is what you like in terms of feel, looks, make, model.

I would suggest to not buy a "Trap" model shotgun as a beginner.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like this shotgun has most of those things listed. Not sure if you can shim it.

Are there any other suggestions? I'd like to keep it under $500.

It's hard to beat options on a pump gun. An older Remington 870 or a mossberg 500 would both allow you to easily swap barrels and chokes. You should be able to easily find a 870 or 500 for less than $350 and then you can spend another $150 on a barrel to complement the one that comes with the gun.

I personally love my CZ shotgun for clay shooting and hunting. I have the semi-auto 912, but you can get the 712 for even cheaper, also for under 500 you can even get one of their over/unders.

There's a couple threads on this already, maybe a little old, but still relevant.
I see Big 5 has these on clearance for like $315; hard to beat two barrels and removable chokes for that price, easier to shoot skeet and sporting clays.

$269 + shipping at cdnn online...got the email about 2 hours ago. Of course, that does not include sales tax, ffl charges, etc.
