With some minor caveats, yes.
First, if your current 870 has a magazine extension, you'll be fine putting any old barrel on it. Some of the HD guns had one piece extended magazine that requires a work around to fit other barrels.
Second, you'll probably want to match the chamber length, and your current 870 is probably a 3 inch chamber.Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator. -
I bought a 26" barrel for my newer production 870 that came with an 18.5" barrel. I just shopped around on ebay for a newer barrel instead of an older one. I also got a magazine cap and shorter magazine spring so I can remove the extension and use a normal plug when hunting. My longer barrel is marked as a 2 3/4" chamber which is not a problem to me, just make sure you are using the right length shells. It only takes about 5 minutes to switch everything out.

Thanks for the replies fellas.
Just scored a factory Remington 870 Express 28" Vent Rib Field Barrel with only 50 shells through it. 2 3/4" or 3" stamped on it (3 1/2" with mag receiver only).
Gonna turn some clays into dust.
95-T100, I too really dig the wood on that shotgun !Comment
