Adding a single barrel to a Citori

Is this just a myth or can you really add a single barrel to your Citori and make it a combo? Do you have to buy another set of barrels then chop one off? Yes, I know a single barrel shotgun like a BT99 is probably way cheaper... Anyone know anything about this myth?

Not a myth....You can add a single barrel. It will need to be fitted to your reciever. Only a set of O/u barrels fit o/u recievers....and yes its one long, one cut

One contact that can do it is Midwest Gun Works, I'm sure there are more.

Midwest Gun Works specializes in the sale of quality gun parts, shooting accessories, firearms and firearm service for most major manufacturers including Browning, Winchester, FN America, Beretta, Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger, Remington, Bushmaster, Marlin, Sig Sauer, HK and many more. MGW has been an industry leader in gun parts, shooting accessories and gunsmithing since 1997.

Browning is not conducive to swapping barrels like Beretta. The Browning receiver is fitted to the barrel set. Beretta barrel sets are fitted to the receiver. It's by luck/accident if a Browning will accept some barrel set not mated at Browning. Beretta are generally close and require minor fitting.s

So while most any problem can be solved with enough money, what you propose is grossly impractical. That's why you don't see Browning barrel sets for sale.
