Best Snap Caps for Loading/Cycling Practice?

I have a Beretta 1301 Tactical semi-auto in jail....first shotgun, after shooting AR-15s and handguns for awhile now. What are the best Snap Caps for practicing loading and cycling? Or any to avoid?

Use Dummy rounds, not snap caps. Brownells sell a box of 25 in 12ga. Anyone who owns a shotgun should use these to function test the gun after cleaning. They are real shells, loaded with lead shot so are the same as cycling live shells.

I know that you aren't Brownells and didn't package the Dummy shells but why would anyone need 25 of them? Aren't they re-useable?

Even if you wanted to fill the tube on a legal shotgun, wouldn't 4 Dummy shells suffice?

Yes, they are re-usable, however they don't last forever as the rims wear from extraction. I go though a 25 round box about once a year. It is important to test a gun after cleaning or repair so mine get a lot of use. For primer strikes I use those round color stickers that are used to make files. I put one on the first dummy to test primer strike. If the sticker is torn I have a good strike.

I do this professionally so my use is more then most. I would guess that everyone has friends that have 12ga shotguns and would split the cost of a box with them.

After researching a little, came to the same product from Brownell's and ordered. The other good one seems to be B's Dry Fire 12 Gauge Snap Caps, but you only get 9 pieces for $36.....compared to Brownell's 25 for $30 (+ship).
