Well, I was thinking we could start one, as USI (Concord) is currently hors de combat until ranges get worked on.

Used to do it a lot on weekends when I was home from college in Ohio. My grandpa and uncle.

10 stations each round at 2 bucks a shot, closest hole to the x wins. Usually a fund raiser for VFW or church (yes shooting in the church yard!). Prizes we usually a frozen ham or turkey. Best we ever did was 15 out of 20 for the three of us and worst was 1 for 15 or so.

When i did it it was northwest Ohio so lots of farmers, country boys, and hunters so no specialized rigs. It was mostly social, not competition. Best we did was flush factory chokes in the Mossberg.

I do miss shooting with my grandpa and uncle but the uncle is dead. I've not found anywhere locally that has heard of it let alone does it.

That's what the Ithaca guy - Denny Tubbs - said; seems to be mostly east coast, moving slowly westward. He mentioned OK, you had it in OH.
