Mossberg 500 bead sight replacement

Hello Calgunners,

I just picked up my Mossberg 500.
While I haven't even taken it out yet, I was thinking about getting some night sights for it. Can anyone recommend a good set of night sights? And a gunsmith in the OC area who might be able to competently install them?

I'm guessing 18 inch non-rib barrel? But what barrel specifically are you asking for?

The bead just unscrews?
Do you know if it's the same for a 500?
Sounds easy enough if it's just a repair and replace part;
but i've also read of people having to tap the hole.

I have the Big 5 version of the 500 combo. AFAIK, the barrels should be the same as any other 500's. On both 28" and 18.5" barrels, the beads unscrew right off. I know only because the beads kept coming loose on me and I had to loctite them in to avoid losing them.
