i don't pick up my shells at the prado trap range. even asked RO's about that and they said they do the cleanup when they close up. they just ask that we don't shoot the shells all the way out into the field but keep it close to the standing positions.

i did just recently picked up that birchwood casey shell catcher that sticks to your receiver on my A300. haven't taken it out yet to see if it works but with racking empty shells at home, it seems to work? may have to adjust the arm more once i'm out to the range since currently loading the shell is a bit hard due to the arm position.

The couple of times I was at Triple B's, the sporting clay range stations were spotless. I picked up all my spent hulls just because I didn't want to be that one guy leaving a mess behind.

Raahauge's, on the other hand, always seem to have hulls everywhere. I generally try not to leave a mess, but I don't feel bad if I missed a few.

I thought about the harbor freight magnet thing, but cleaning up has been easier now that I have an o/u.

Even in the field I pick up my shells. If the is not a bin then I place them in my haul bag and empty it in the trash can once done. Everyone has their own opinion that's just mine.

Fastest way I've found is to just lay a trap down first. I have seen a style of wire ball roller on a stick that you roll over the shells and it's supposed to trap them inside but I have my doubts.
