I should have never read this thread. Maybe I can saved $200 a month. With my luck, they will be all sold or banned at that point. Buying ammo has been a big priority for me.........until this thread popped up.

Good deal at Classic with free ammo!
Manufactured in the Molot factory the Russian Vepr is the Mercedes-Benz of Russian Semi-Auto Shotguns. Includes one original Molot 5 round mag.Unlike our previous VEPR-12's this latest version has a Factory Fixed Position Butt Stock, with no welded hinge mechanism. See image 4 to the left for the exact difference.Comment

Congrats on getting one OP. I've had some issues with th first ~ 100 Federal Walmart bulk 12 ga but after that it ls running flawless. Sgm mag always gives me problems. Original mags run like champs. I've replaced the recoil spring, fcg, and recoil spring. I love this thing.Last edited by alks207; 04-05-2016, 10:23 PM.Comment

How are they for a lefty?Comment

Yes they are, I can reload 10 round mag in a second and half with a mag lock in place. Mags eject quite easily out of Verp and mag release is more sensitive than AK's.
You won't load KSG that fast + semi trumps pump every time especially the pump that has a potential to blow your hand off.
Love mine.....after some mods, it came out just as I wanted.

FiveSeven,
Looks fantastic!
Two questions-
How do you like the AFG on it? I have been debating getting one as I find the stock ergonomics to be a little cumbersome for point ability.
Which Burris sight is that and how has it held up? My Tru-Glo was trash after 30 slugs.C&R nut.Comment

Congrats OP, hopefully you were able to get in on the 100 rounds of free ammo from wolf. I ordered from Atlantic, it's been sitting at my FFL for over a week, haven't made it over there to start DROS (I know, what is wrong with me). fWIW I ended up getting the buckshot free, came pretty quick. Can't wait to get it out.
I haven't heard anyway mention 922R.....I've been getting dizzy reading so much about it and thought that even with a mag lock we need to achieve compliance before using 10 rounds? Not to threadjack, but may be beneficial to OP.Comment

I did get the 100 round deal. Probably will opt for the 100 slugs as opposed to the buckshot. The deal that Atlantic offers was more than fair.
Been reading on the 922r stuff in order to legally use the aftermarket 10 round magazines. Saw some threads where guys would add a muzzle device to be within 922r compliance. Another arbitrary law forced upon us...Comment

They are already 922R compliant out of the box. Once you stick a 10 round magazine in it you need to drop 5 foreign parts to make it compliant again.
The 10 round SGM mags turned out to not be reliable for me, so I bought 10 round OEM Molots which will make me need to change 3 more parts. The Elftmann AK trigger will probably wind up in my Vepr. Expensive, yes, but worth it to me.Member: NRA, FPC, NAGR, 2AF, BHAComment

Muzzle devices on Veprs don't count towards 922r compliancy. Doesn't matter if you have one, foreign or not.Member: NRA, FPC, NAGR, 2AF, BHAComment

AFG does make holding it more controllable.FiveSeven,

It's FF III and it's a durable red dot. No problems after 300+ rounds of Buck/Slugs... Tru-Glo is a Chinese junk, it would of failed on a rifle as well but Shotgun does show if optic is quality or not fairly quick.Comment

Read on multiple forums that a muzzle device would count towards the 5? Anybody clarify?
Saw some guys using the mag as 3 us parts, us pistol grip as 1, and muzzle brake as the 5th. Also saw some guys changing to the hogue handguard or adding a us gas puck. This incorrect?Comment
