If anyone else is wondering about the firing pin spring in an older 870 or 870 Wingmaster and was also thinking of doing a Flex-tab conversion to your gun, this new-design firing pin *retractor* spring is installed in the breechbolt which is one part of a Flex-tab conversion kit. You can get these kits, too, from J.D. at AI&P Tactical/aippi

This thread's title was confusing since this is the first time I've heard the word "retractor" used when mentioning a firing pin spring (even though that is exactly what it does).

Thanks for the video. I have an old Wingmaster coming and will take a look to see if its been upgraded.
