I was thinking of getting this rail for my 870, but I can't remember seeing it on anyone's guns, leading me to wonder if it was worth the money. Any opinions? Thanks...

Check out this link. They say it's built well, but sticks out laterally and may get cumbersome in maneuvering. If you can get past that, it's a good piece.

      Sticks out a little much.

I'm just thinking; It's not like I have to clamp the barell and mag tube together. The mag tube isn't going to fall off is it?

Maybe I just need a single mount.

Something VERY low profile is what I want. Have actually considered Duct tape Cheap and effective.

no. but its always nice to have extra reinforcement

here is a low profile alternative for people who want more traditional, as opposed to a picatinny light setup. it uses 1 inch diameter flashlights, and you can get a single mount for a flashlight, or a dual mount for light and laser.
