    Top 5 Defensive Shotguns

Help me come up with a "Top 5" video for youtube.

    1. Let me know which guns I should include in the poll and if you could detail your reason.

    2. Find the poll once I post it and vote.

    3. Enjoy my eternal gratitude for the advice.

    4. Watch the video once I've made it.

I am planning on including the following.

    Remington 870 Series
    Mossberg 500 Series

What should the other three be?

    Benelli M4, AA12
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

                  Longer than the Winchester 1897?

Which is still a very good pump gun platform. Not sure anything on the market today is a better gun... cheaper to produce, sure, but better?

I don't see how any defensive shotgun comparison can't have a Benelli M4 in it. If you do the video with it, definitely go into some of the idiosyncrasies of getting used to it. I've handed them to a few people who were accustomed to other shotguns, and it was somewhat eye opening to watch them screw up. They're great shotguns, but they do have the potential to confuse new users who aren't familiar with the various features and procedures.

Isn't switching between the tubes on a ksg a problem? Or at least I think it is under a stressful home invasion situation. I wish it was like the Utas 15 and you could leave it in the neutral position and it would just use both tubes.

Rem 870 and if weight is not a consideration, it's hard to ignore the DP-12. No switching between tubes. Pump once, shoot twice - repeat 8 times.

To be in the top 5, they'll all have to be reasonably priced from a well known company. If they aren't affordable and/or they're from some no-name company, they won't appeal to the masses.

                              In no particular order:

                              Mossberg 500 Tactical

                              Mossberg 590 Tactical

                              Remington 870 Express

                              Mossberg 930 SPX

                              Weatherby SA-459 TR

                              Benelli Nova or SuperNova Tactical

                              Mossberg SA-20 Tactical

I know I listed more than 5, but I threw in one 20 ga semi-auto in case one is recoil sensitive. I also threw in an extra 12 ga semi-auto since there aren't many affordable home defense semi-autos out there. The Weatherby comes in both 20 and 12, so I guess you could say I threw in two 20 ga semi-autos. Although, the SA-20 and SA-459 in 20 are basically the same gun.
