    870 extension clamp screw

So I seem to have misplaced the screw for my 870 extension clamp. My magazine extension is the Remington brand. The screw appears to be Remington #: F93463.

Now rather than paying $6 + s/h from midway or brownells, does anyone know the length and thread of the screw? It would be much easier to just run to the hardware store and grab one or two

Numrich puts out a promo code for discounted shipping pretty much every week via Facebook.

I can't even find that part on the numrich site, probly because it isn't part of the gun, it's a part for the extension.
Even if they did have it, it will still cost as much as 6 screws from the hardware store to get 1 shipped to me.

Give me a few and I'll see if I can measure mine for you.

Numrich has it (just not on schematic), and Brownell's is backordered.

It is a #12-24 slotted, oval head fastener with an OAL of 0.850". The head diameter is smaller than a standard screw of that size, so you may not be happy with how one from the hardware store fits.

PM me your email address if you would like me to send you a pic.

            Thank you sir!
I have a pic from midway. I will see what I can find locally, if not I will just add it next time I order something.

              .
I doubt you'll find that in a hardware store, even if it's Culver City Hardware's World Famous Wall of Nuts.

You might find something with a similar thread diameter and pitch, but...

Why would you not call Remington at 800-243-9700, follow the prompts to parts and order it by the part number for the $5.95 it cost.

You may find something that is close but you also risk damage to the threads in the barrel bracket and that is a $36.95 part. Is it worth it to risk it? You are going to be screwing it out and in every time you clean the gun so you better find a perfect match to keep from damaging the bracket threads.

As a part dealer I get plenty of orders for items like this that people FUBAR trying to get out of spending a few bucks and they always end up spending more.

I will look at the hardware store and see if they have one, if not I will order 1. I will not mess up the part if the screw doesn't fit, I'm not stupid. I figured why spend around $10 shipped for a screw, if there was a chance I could find one at the hardware store.

I really didn't figure Remington would have a special screw made for a simple part, just doesn't seem cost effective.

12-24 is not a standard hardware store thread.
McMaster Carr has 12/24 screws, bolts, etc.
