CA 10 round capacity issue???

Does this 10 round rule applies to shotguns too?

I was looking into a Standard Manufacturing DP-12 model and it has 16 round capacity...
Are these CA legal or not?

i believe tube mags are exempt, and the DP-12 has 2 tube mags under 10 shells so it would not even matter. like the KSG or that other halo looking shotgun that youtubers were breaking, cant remember what its called.

I believe it is considered to have 2x 8 round magazine tubes. Which is why it is legal just like the KSG.

Legal. Each tube holds less than 10 rounds. My LGS sells these and plenty of places sell KSG12, which holds 14 rounds.

Tube fed is supposed to be CA legal.
Ex: Henry .22 levergun holds 15 .22LR

Also...
Tubular magazines are exempt from the large capacity magazine laws only when it is fixed to a .22 caliber firearm [PC 16740(b)] or a lever-action firearm [PC 16740(c)].

Therefore...
Tubular magazine on a semi-auto shotgun or a pump/slide-action shotgun are not exempt and need to hold less than 10 rounds.
Tubular magazine on a lever-action shotgun is exempt and can legally have more than 10 rounds.



Penal Code 16740
As used in this part, "large-capacity magazine" means any ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds, but shall not be construed to include any of the following:
(a) A feeding device that has been permanently altered so that it cannot accommodate more than 10 rounds.
(b) A .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding device.
(c) A tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm.

Not quite. The SRM 1216 has manually rotating tubes (4 rounds each in 4 tubes) and is a semiauto, and it's CA legal.
