Light primer strikes with Mossberg 930 SPX?

I've been getting these repeatedly. Here's how it goes:

1. Chamber round.
2. Press bolt release.
3. Pull trigger.
4. <Click>
5. Wait 30 seconds.
6. Pull back bolt, ejecting shell.
7. Look at shell, see light primer strike.
8. Re-chamber round.
9. Press bolt release.
10. Pull trigger
11. <Boom>
12. Go to 1 with new round.

There's almost always a light primer strike right after the bolt is locked back from the last round in the magazine, and almost never a light primer strike when the bolt has been manually cycled.

I also noticed today that if I push the operating handle forward after releasing the bolt, I can avoid the light primer strike. The weird thing is, the bolt isn't moving when I do this: the handle itself is moving forward slightly. Should this be the case?

I had this issue on a 500, which has since kind of corrected itself with use. It still doesn't like super hard primers (Winchester I am looking at you).

Sounds like it isn't going fully into battery? Be sure everything is clean and lubed but not too wet.

It's definitely going into battery, otherwise I'd be thankful for the light primer strikes

I haven't yet cleaned the bolt. I'll track down a YouTube video on it.

I'm still surprised that the charging handle moves within the bolt, and that this affects the firing pin.
