    Winchester SXP impressions

I'm looking forward to selling my tricked 870 express and looking for a different mfg. to try out. I've read up on the specs, looked at reviews, and the extreme defender fits exactly what I want... pistol grip, the perfect LOP for my shoulder, invector choke system, factory pic rail on the front, the right drop at comb, a good mag capacity for me, and easy cleaning.

Has anyone had personal experience with these? I know there was a recall with the field versions a few years ago but haven't heard much since.

i have the sxp field version, which is the same internally.

i like mine. it is lightweight (a plus and minus since more felt recoil). the assisted pump using the inertia of the recoil you can pump out rounds nearly as fast as the semi auto's or in case of 1 injured hand, you can easily shoot it one handed since all you will need to do is pump it forward after each shot.

i use mine for trap so i do not have any experience using the 18.5inch alternate barrel my combo came with.

If the SXP is half the scattergun the 1300 is you'll be a happy camper!

Thanks a lot! It makes me feel better knowing there are people who enjoy them. Now I just need to sell my 870 and get the money together... Before they change the model or any of the specs I like.

Anybody know of someone interested in a trick 870 express?

          I don't like the trigger.
