Benelli M4 red dot mounting -- Trijicon MRO preferably

I'd like to put a Trijicon MRO on my Benelli M4. What are the best mounting options out there?

I'd like the mount to cowitness the irons due to the nature of the ghost ring some sort of lower third cowitness or similar doesn't make sense.

I'd prefer a Trijicon MRO (looks like a great product), but open to an Aimpoint or something else if the mount market is more mature for another top tier red dot.

While not the M4. On my M2, I have tried the Aimpoint CompM4 2 MOA, low QRP mount(too bulky), the T1 4 MOA, (similar to the MRO), low mount ADM, due to the tube design of the M4 and T1 they seemed "scope like" to me looking through them. They also took too much view area for me. I currently have the RMR09 6.5 MOA, with a ADM low mount. I like it this one points nice, more CQB than the T1 IMO. Its current mount just to get me by until the Scalarworks BOR mount comes back in stock. The BOR/RMR is the lowest mount on the market getting that co witness you want.

Remember that the rail on the M4 is the weak link (out of spec) and really needs to be replaced if you're going to actually use it to mount something. There have been reports of optics falling off.

+1 For the Scalarworks RMR Mount. I have one on my M4. Best thing out there if you ask me. Great optic, great mount/rail. And it cowitnesses with irons.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I really like the Scalarworks mount. Very high quality, and I love the fact that you can cowitness with irons if your optic goes down. (Also why I went with dual illumination)

If you want to cowitness, I don't think there are too many other options out there.

Hey man, off topic but what kind of cheek riser is that? Is it drilled on to the stock or is it a completely different stock?
